As a journalist, you interview a lot of people for your stories; you should interview your data as if you were interviewing a person. In this course you will learn how to view, edit, and organise data in spreadsheets to inform the questions that your journalism output aims to answer.
Visualisations bring the “ooooh” factor to data-driven journalism, but their purpose is greater than simply making your story “pretty”. This course will teach you where and how you can source data for your journalism stories, how to clean and organise data, as well as how to visualise data using simple charts.
